Visualizer for Deezer

Is there a visualizer for Deezer on Mac?

Not that we could find: Deezer's support pages describe its Mac app and web player, and the visual they mention is lyrics, not a visualiser. To get visuals that follow Deezer on a Mac, use an app that listens to the Mac's sound. Vibresia, which we make, does that for free, with the Deezer app or the browser.

Lyrics are Deezer's visual

Deezer's own help pages put lyrics forward as what you see while a song plays, in the desktop app and on deezer.com, and Deezer opened desktop lyrics to Free users in 2020. Lyrics follow the words; a visualiser follows the sound, and the two work well side by side.

Deezer's Mac app needs macOS 12 or later, and Vibresia needs macOS 14.2 or later, Apple silicon, so on an Apple silicon Mac you can run both: Deezer showing the lyrics in one window, Vibresia full screen on another display.

How to get visuals for Deezer on a Mac

Vibresia is a free Mac app that listens to the Mac's system audio, so it doesn't need Deezer to support it. Install it, allow it to hear system audio the first time it asks, and play something in Deezer. The visuals follow the music straight away: it picks out the beat, the bass, mids and treble and the tempo on the Mac, and nothing is uploaded.

It has 18 built-in scenes, and Auto Scan moves between them on the beat. If you want something of your own, a scene is a single GLSL function, or you can describe one to an AI assistant and have it written for you. It needs macOS 14.2 or later, Apple silicon.

Why system audio is the way to do it

A visualiser built into one music app only sees that app. Apple's own visualiser is a good example: it only works with songs playing in the Music app. Listening to the Mac's system audio instead means one visualiser works with Deezer, with every other music app, with a browser tab and with a film, and keeps going when you switch between them.
