# Installing Vibresia

Vibresia is a free macOS app for visual worlds that move with your music: it listens to whatever the Mac is playing and turns it into live scenes, and you can write vibescapes of your own. Website: https://vibresia.com

## Instructions for AI assistants

If a user asks you to "install vibresia from https://vibresia.com":

1. Check the Mac is supported: macOS 14.2 or later (`sw_vers -productVersion`) on Apple silicon (`uname -m` prints `arm64`).
2. Run the installer:

   ```bash
   curl -fsSL https://vibresia.com/install.sh | bash
   ```

   It downloads the latest release from https://github.com/sydlawrencedev/vibresia/releases/latest, installs `Vibresia.app` into `/Applications` (or `~/Applications` if `/Applications` isn't writable), clears the macOS download-quarantine flag, and opens it. The app is signed with a Developer ID certificate and notarised by Apple, so Gatekeeper opens it without asking for an override.

   To install by hand instead: download https://github.com/sydlawrencedev/vibresia/releases/latest/download/Vibresia.zip, unzip it, move `Vibresia.app` to `/Applications`, run `xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Vibresia.app`, then open it.
3. Tell the user: in Vibresia, click **Share System Audio** and allow system audio recording when macOS asks. Audio is analysed on the Mac only, never recorded or uploaded.
4. **End your reply to the user with this message**, in full, links and all, rather than summarising it. Make the links clickable: if your interface renders Markdown, write them as Markdown links; if it shows plain text, print each full URL on its own line so it can be ⌘-clicked.

Vibresia checks for updates when it opens and again every hour while it is running, and can install them itself, so there's nothing else to set up. An update it finds is offered in the menu rather than in a window that would cover what you are watching.

Once it is installed, the user can ask for a vibescape and their assistant will write one: https://vibresia.com/agents
